Terms of Use

1. The service

Calppak (캘빡 in Korean, the "app") is a Mac menu bar app and an iPhone and iPad app provided by ForgeLab. On your device, it finds events with dates in text or screenshots you copy, shows them to you, and adds the ones you check and choose to the calendar you pick, or saves them as an .ics file. It works entirely on your device, with no account or server.

2. License

Your use of the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These terms add details specific to Calppak. Where they differ, the Standard EULA prevails.

3. Free use

• You can add to your calendar or save an .ics file 10 times for free, counted across all your devices with the same Apple Account.
• Each time you add events to your calendar or save an .ics file counts once, however many events it holds.
• Finding, checking and editing events is always free, with no limit.
• Free adds are recorded in your iCloud key-value storage, so your devices with the same Apple Account share the count and it carries over when you reinstall. On a device without iCloud, they are counted in that device's keychain. The free range is shown in the app and on the App Store, and any change will be announced on this page.

4. Plans and auto-renewal

After your 10 free adds, a plan lets you add without limit. There are three plans, and they all unlock the same things.

• Monthly: $0.99 per month, auto-renewing subscription
• Yearly: $4.99 per year, auto-renewing subscription
• Lifetime: $6.99 once, with no renewal or further charges

Payment and renewal

• The prices above are for the US App Store. They may differ in other countries and regions, and the amount charged is the one the App Store shows when you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically for the same period and price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the next period within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. On iPhone and iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name, then Account Settings. After canceling, you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• A plan works on every Mac, iPhone and iPad using the same Apple Account. On a new device, use Restore Purchases in the app.
• If a subscription price changes, you'll be told in advance according to Apple's policies.

5. Refunds

Apple handles payments and refunds. The developer can't see your payment details and can't issue refunds directly. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Apple's refund policy applies.

6. Check events before adding

• Calppak finds events by recognizing text and interpreting dates. It can misread or miss a date, time, name or place.
• We don't guarantee that the events Calppak finds are always correct. Before adding, compare them with the original text and fix anything that's wrong.
• You decide what goes into which calendar. The app adds only the events you have checked and chosen.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

• The app is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we don't guarantee that it works without errors on every device and in every situation.
• To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app (for example, missing an appointment because of an event that was added incorrectly). The developer's total liability is limited as set out in Apple's Standard EULA.
• This doesn't limit liability for damage caused by the developer's intent or gross negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.

8. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll post the update on this page with a new effective date. Important changes will also be noted in the app's update notes. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated terms.
