Toki(토키, 이하 "앱")는 사용자의 개인정보를 소중히 여기며, 개인정보 보호법 및 관련 법령을 준수합니다. 본 개인정보 처리방침은 앱이 다루는 정보와 그 처리 방법을 설명합니다.

2. 수집하는 정보

본 앱은 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다.

Toki는 회원가입, 로그인, 또는 어떠한 형태의 계정 생성도 요구하지 않습니다. 개발자는 별도의 서버를 운영하지 않으며, 사용자의 어떠한 데이터도 수집, 전송, 저장하지 않습니다.

사용자의 기기에만 저장되는 데이터:

  • 번역 세션 기록(인식된 원문 텍스트와 번역 텍스트)
  • 선택한 언어, 화면 안내(팁) 표시 여부 등 앱 설정

위 데이터는 오직 사용자의 기기 내부에만 저장되며, 개발자를 포함한 외부로 전송되지 않습니다. 앱 내에서 언제든 삭제할 수 있고, 앱을 삭제하면 함께 삭제됩니다.

무료 사용 시간 기록: 무료로 사용한 시간의 누적 값(숫자 하나)은 기기의 키체인과, 사용자가 iCloud에 로그인한 경우 Apple의 iCloud 키-값 저장소에 함께 보관됩니다. 이 값은 앱을 다시 설치하거나 같은 Apple 계정의 새 기기로 바꿨을 때 무료 시간이 다시 제공되지 않도록 하는 데에만 쓰이며, 대화 내용이나 음성은 포함되지 않습니다. iCloud에 보관된 값은 사용자의 기기끼리만 동기화되며 개발자는 접근할 수 없습니다.

3. 마이크 및 음성 처리

앱은 실시간 음성 번역을 위해 마이크 접근 권한과 음성 인식 권한을 요청합니다.

  • 음성 인식과 번역은 모두 기기 내(온디바이스)에서 Apple의 SpeechAnalyzer 및 Translation 프레임워크로 처리됩니다.
  • 오디오는 인식 즉시 폐기되며, 녹음 파일로 저장되거나 외부로 전송되지 않습니다.
  • 개발자는 사용자의 음성, 대화 내용, 번역 결과에 접근할 수 없습니다.

4. 네트워크 사용

앱 자체에는 네트워크 통신 기능이 없습니다. 다만 언어 자산(음성 인식 모델, 번역 언어 팩)을 최초 다운로드할 때와 무료 사용 시간 기록을 iCloud로 동기화할 때 Apple의 운영체제가 Apple 서버와 통신합니다. 이 과정은 Apple의 개인정보 보호정책을 따릅니다.

5. 제3자 제공 및 분석 도구

앱은 광고 SDK, 분석(애널리틱스) 도구, 추적 기술을 일절 사용하지 않으며, 어떠한 정보도 제3자에게 제공하지 않습니다.

6. 아동의 개인정보

앱은 개인정보를 수집하지 않으므로, 아동의 개인정보 또한 수집하지 않습니다.

본 방침이 변경되는 경우 이 페이지를 통해 공지합니다. 중요한 변경이 있을 경우 앱 업데이트 노트에도 안내합니다.

Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Toki ("the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is processed.

2. Information We Collect

The app does not collect any personal information.

Toki requires no sign-up, no login, and no account of any kind. The developer operates no servers and does not collect, transmit, or store any user data.

Data stored only on your device:

  • Translation session history (recognized source text and its translation)
  • App preferences such as selected languages and onboarding-tip state

This data never leaves your device. You can delete it inside the app at any time, and it is removed entirely when you delete the app.

Free-time counter: the total free time you have used (a single number) is kept in your device's Keychain and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in Apple's iCloud key-value storage. It is used only so that reinstalling the app or moving to a new device on the same Apple Account does not grant the free time again. It contains no conversations or audio. The iCloud copy syncs only between your own devices, and the developer cannot access it.

3. Microphone & Speech Processing

The app requests microphone and speech-recognition permissions for live voice translation.

  • Speech recognition and translation run entirely on-device using Apple's SpeechAnalyzer and Translation frameworks.
  • Audio is discarded as soon as it is recognized — it is never saved as a recording or transmitted anywhere.
  • The developer has no access to your voice, conversations, or translations.

4. Network Usage

The app itself contains no networking code. The only network activity is performed by the operating system when you first download language assets (speech models and translation packs) from Apple's servers and when it syncs the free-time counter through iCloud, subject to Apple's privacy policy.

5. Third Parties & Analytics

The app uses no advertising SDKs, no analytics, and no tracking technologies, and shares nothing with third parties.

6. Children's Privacy

Since the app collects no personal information, it collects no information from children either.

Any changes will be posted on this page. Significant changes will also be noted in app release notes.
