개인정보 처리방침

1. 개요

이 방침은 ForgeLab(대표 Jason Lee, 이하 "개발자")이 배포하는 iOS 앱 육공공(영문명 Six Hundred, TEPS Vocabulary, 이하 "앱")에 적용됩니다. 개발자는 「개인정보 보호법」 등 관련 법령을 지키며, 이 방침에서 앱이 어떤 정보를 다루고 어떻게 처리하는지 설명합니다. 이 방침에서 정하지 않은 사항은 이용약관과 관련 법령을 따릅니다.

2. 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다

앱은 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다.

회원가입, 로그인, 계정 생성을 요구하지 않습니다. 개발자는 사용자 데이터를 저장하는 자체 서버를 운영하지 않으며, 이름, 이메일, 전화번호, 위치, 기기 식별자, 광고 식별자 등 어떤 개인정보도 수집하거나 전송받지 않습니다.

3. 기기와 iCloud에 저장되는 학습 데이터

앱은 학습 기능을 위해 아래 데이터를 사용자의 기기에 저장하고, 재설치 뒤 복원을 위해 사용자 본인의 iCloud(키-값 저장소)에도 함께 저장합니다.

  • 선택한 레벨과 목표 점수
  • 단어별 학습 상태(알아요, 모름, 마스터), 회독 수, 틀린 횟수
  • 날짜별 학습 수와 예상 점수, 연속 학습 기록
  • 나만의 단어장(북마크)
  • 글자 크기 등 앱 설정, 안내 표시 여부
  • 이용권 보유 여부(기기에만 저장)

이 데이터는 사용자의 Apple 계정에 속하며 Apple의 iCloud를 통해서만 동기화됩니다. 개발자는 이 데이터를 열람하거나 접근할 수 없습니다. iCloud 동기화는 Apple의 서비스 상태와 사용자의 iCloud 설정에 따라 달라지며, iCloud를 끄거나 Apple 계정을 바꾸면 복원되지 않을 수 있습니다.

개발자는 관련 법령이 허용하는 범위에서, 기기 교체, 앱 삭제, iCloud 설정 변경, Apple 서비스 장애 등으로 생긴 학습 데이터의 손실이나 복원 실패에 대해 책임을 지지 않습니다.

4. 앱 내 구입과 구독

이용권(연간 구독, 월간 구독, 평생 이용권)은 Apple App Store를 통해 판매되며 결제의 당사자는 Apple입니다. 카드 번호 등 결제 정보는 Apple이 처리하고 앱과 개발자는 접근할 수 없습니다.

Apple은 개발자에게 이름이나 결제 수단이 포함되지 않은 거래 정보(거래 식별자, 상품, 구입 및 갱신 일시, 환불 여부 등)를 제공할 수 있습니다. 개발자는 이 정보를 이용권 확인과 복원, 환불과 분쟁 대응, 세무와 회계 처리 목적으로만 사용하며 관련 법령이 정한 기간 동안 보관할 수 있습니다. 구독 해지, 환불, 결제 내역 확인은 Apple 계정 설정에서 하며 Apple의 정책을 따릅니다.

5. 네트워크 통신

앱은 아래 목적으로만 인터넷에 연결합니다.

  • 학습 콘텐츠 내려받기: 단어 데이터를 GitHub의 공개 저장소에서 내려받습니다. 이때 IP 주소, 기기 종류 같은 일반적인 접속 정보가 GitHub(GitHub, Inc.)에 전달될 수 있으며 GitHub의 개인정보 처리방침이 적용됩니다. 개발자는 이 정보를 받지 않습니다.
  • 구입 확인과 복원: Apple App Store와 이용권 상태를 확인합니다. Apple의 개인정보 처리방침이 적용됩니다.
  • 음성 읽기: 단어와 예문 읽어 주기는 iOS에 내장된 음성 합성 기능을 사용하며 기기 안에서 처리됩니다.

그 밖의 통신은 하지 않습니다.

6. 제3자 서비스, 광고, 추적

앱은 광고 네트워크, 분석 도구, 추적 SDK를 사용하지 않으며 광고 식별자(IDFA)를 요청하지 않습니다. 사용자가 iPhone 설정에서 Apple에 앱 분석 정보 공유를 허용한 경우, Apple이 익명으로 집계한 충돌 보고와 사용 통계를 개발자에게 제공할 수 있습니다. 이 정보로는 개인을 식별할 수 없습니다.

7. 문의 시 처리되는 정보

사용자가 이메일로 문의하면 이메일 주소와 문의 내용, 첨부 파일이 개발자에게 전달됩니다. 이 정보는 답변, 문제 해결, 분쟁 대응 목적으로만 사용합니다. 소비자 불만이나 분쟁 처리에 관한 기록은 「전자상거래 등에서의 소비자보호에 관한 법률」에 따라 3년간 보관한 뒤 삭제하며, 그 밖의 문의는 처리가 끝나면 지체 없이 삭제합니다.

8. 아동의 개인정보

앱은 개인정보를 수집하지 않으므로 만 14세 미만 아동의 개인정보도 수집하지 않습니다. 만 14세 미만 사용자의 앱 내 구입은 법정대리인의 동의 아래 이루어져야 하며, Apple의 가족 공유와 구입 요청 승인 기능을 이용할 수 있습니다.

9. 사용자의 권리와 데이터 삭제

  • 기기 데이터: 앱을 삭제하면 기기에 저장된 데이터가 함께 삭제됩니다.
  • iCloud 데이터: 앱의 설정 > 학습 데이터 초기화를 실행하면 기기와 iCloud의 학습 기록이 모두 삭제됩니다.
  • 개발자는 사용자의 학습 데이터를 보유하지 않으므로 열람, 정정, 삭제 요청의 대상이 되는 데이터가 없습니다. 7항의 문의 기록은 요청하시면 법령이 정한 보관 의무가 없는 범위에서 삭제합니다.

10. 안전성 확보 조치

개발자는 사용자 데이터를 저장하는 서버를 두지 않습니다. 모든 네트워크 통신은 HTTPS로 암호화되며, 내려받은 학습 콘텐츠는 무결성 검증을 거칩니다.

11. 국외 서비스 이용

Apple(iCloud, App Store)과 GitHub의 서버는 국외에 있을 수 있습니다. 해당 서비스 이용에는 각 회사의 개인정보 처리방침이 적용됩니다.

13. 방침의 변경

이 방침은 이 페이지에 게시한 날부터 효력이 생깁니다. 내용이 바뀌면 최종 수정일을 갱신해 이 페이지에 공개하고, 중요한 변경은 앱 안에서도 안내합니다. 변경 뒤에도 앱을 계속 사용하면 변경된 방침에 동의한 것으로 봅니다.

14. 분쟁 해결

이 방침과 관련한 분쟁은 먼저 위 이메일로 알려 주시면 성실히 협의합니다. 협의로 해결되지 않는 분쟁에는 대한민국 법이 적용되며 관할 법원은 이용약관을 따릅니다. 개인정보 침해에 대한 신고나 상담은 개인정보침해 신고센터(privacy.kisa.or.kr, 국번 없이 118)에서도 받을 수 있습니다.

Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This policy applies to the iOS app Six Hundred (TEPS Vocabulary; Korean name 육공공, "the App"), published by ForgeLab (representative: Jason Lee, "the Developer"). The Developer complies with applicable privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea, and this policy explains what information the App handles and how. Matters not covered here follow the Terms of Service and applicable law.

2. We do not collect personal information

The App does not collect any personal information.

There is no sign-up, login or account. The Developer runs no server that stores user data, and never collects or receives names, email addresses, phone numbers, location, device identifiers, advertising identifiers or any other personal information.

3. Study data kept on your device and in your iCloud

To make the App work, the following data is stored on your device and, so it can be restored after a reinstall, also in your own iCloud key-value store.

  • Selected level and target score
  • Per-word study state (known, unknown, mastered), round counts and miss counts
  • Daily study counts, estimated score and streak records
  • Your word notebook (bookmarks)
  • App settings such as text size, and whether guides have been shown
  • Whether a pass is owned (device only)

This data belongs to your Apple account and is synced only through Apple's iCloud. The Developer cannot read or access it. iCloud sync depends on Apple's service status and your iCloud settings; turning iCloud off or changing Apple accounts may prevent restoration.

To the extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for loss of study data or failure to restore it caused by a device change, deleting the App, changes to iCloud settings, Apple service outages or similar events.

4. In-app purchases and subscriptions

Passes (yearly subscription, monthly subscription, lifetime pass) are sold through the Apple App Store, and Apple is the merchant of record. Payment details such as card numbers are handled by Apple and are never accessible to the App or the Developer.

Apple may provide the Developer with transaction information that contains no name or payment method (transaction identifier, product, purchase and renewal dates, refund status and similar). The Developer uses this only to verify and restore passes, handle refunds and disputes, and meet tax and accounting obligations, and may keep it for the period required by law. Cancelling a subscription, requesting a refund and viewing purchase history are done in your Apple account settings under Apple's policies.

5. Network communication

The App connects to the internet only for the following purposes.

  • Downloading study content: word data is downloaded from a public repository on GitHub. Standard connection information such as your IP address and device type may be transmitted to GitHub (GitHub, Inc.), and GitHub's privacy policy applies. The Developer does not receive this information.
  • Purchase verification and restore: pass status is checked with the Apple App Store. Apple's privacy policy applies.
  • Speech: reading words and examples aloud uses the speech synthesis built into iOS and is processed on the device.

No other communication takes place.

6. Third-party services, advertising and tracking

The App uses no advertising networks, analytics tools or tracking SDKs, and does not request the advertising identifier (IDFA). If you have allowed sharing app analytics with developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may provide the Developer with anonymised, aggregated crash reports and usage statistics. This information cannot identify you.

7. Information handled when you contact us

If you contact the Developer by email, your email address, the content of your message and any attachments are delivered to the Developer. They are used only to reply, resolve the issue and handle any dispute. Records relating to consumer complaints or disputes are kept for 3 years under the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and then deleted; other inquiries are deleted without delay once handled.

8. Children's privacy

Because the App collects no personal information, it collects none from children under 14 either. In-app purchases by users under 14 must be made with the consent of a parent or legal guardian; Apple's Family Sharing and Ask to Buy features are available for this.

9. Your rights and data deletion

  • Device data: deleting the App removes the data stored on the device.
  • iCloud data: running Settings > Reset Study Data in the App deletes the study record from both the device and iCloud.
  • The Developer holds no study data of yours, so there is no data subject to access, correction or deletion requests. Inquiry records under section 7 are deleted on request, except where the law requires them to be kept.

10. Security measures

The Developer operates no server that stores user data. All network communication is encrypted with HTTPS, and downloaded study content is integrity-checked.

11. Services located abroad

Servers operated by Apple (iCloud, App Store) and GitHub may be located outside your country. Each company's privacy policy applies to your use of its services.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy takes effect on the date it is posted on this page. When it changes, the last-updated date is revised and the new version is published here; significant changes are also announced in the App. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the revised policy.

14. Dispute resolution

If you have a dispute relating to this policy, please contact us first at the email above and we will discuss it in good faith. Disputes that cannot be settled by discussion are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the competent court is as set out in the Terms of Service. In Korea you may also contact the Personal Information Infringement Report Center (privacy.kisa.or.kr, dial 118).
